We’ve completely redesigned our invoicing module to make billing faster, easier and more intuitive than ever. Invoicing 2.0 comes with a brand new modern, user-friendly interface that simplifies the entire process from creation to tracking. 

Invoicing is an admin-heavy, time-consuming process but Proteus lets you generate invoices seamlessly and provides unrivalled visibility over project finance. The RAG view and mini-dashboard ensure you know exactly which invoices have been approved, which have been paid, and which are still outstanding, helping you stay in control. 

The RAG view (red, amber, green) traffic light view makes it easy to quickly see the status of all your invoicing related to the project you are working on. No more nagging your finance team for an update!

Additionally, for teams handling reimbursable projects, invoicing just got even smarter. You can now generate invoices by individual work packages, selecting specific timesheets by work package and date range. Proteus will automatically compile the related timesheet report and attach it to the invoice. This is a game-changer for teams managing hundreds of invoices monthly, saving significant time and reducing manual effort.

Better Billing Control with Automatic Timesheet Locking

For most companies using Proteus, timely timesheet submissions are essential for accurate client billing. To help with this, we’ve introduced automatic timesheet locking.

Admins can set a specific time that timesheets will be locked. If a user’s timesheet is missing or needs to be altered, an admin can unlock it for 24 hours allowing changes to be made without compromising overall control. This feature streamlines timesheet management, improving control and efficiency by preventing late submissions.

Advanced Currency Conversion

Eliminate currency confusion with consistent global rate handling.

Working globally? Our enhanced currency conversion functionality ensures consistent exchange rate handling across all key modules in Proteus, including contracts and rate tables, proposals, projects, variations and reports. 

So, whether you’re pricing a proposal, creating a variation or an external report, Proteus guarantees you’re consistently working with the right currency.

Enhanced Flexibility in Managing Variations

Managing change is an inevitable part of every project. Our variations feature is extremely popular with our clients, and we are continually working to further enhance its capabilities. 

You can now add and edit team resources directly within variations as opposed to doing it through rate tables. Although this sounds like a small change, it has improved user experience by being more flexible and saving time as fewer steps are required.

Enhanced Reporting Capabilities

A pain point for most companies comes with gathering this information. It often means searching through scattered data to assemble a coherent picture.

That’s why effective reporting is vital. We’ve further enhanced our reporting tools to give users more control and flexibility.

In Proteus, you can now create custom datasets and save them as ‘views’ to be shared externally via a secure link, even with users who don’t have access to Proteus. Hide internal work packages, select relevant metrics and add automated elements such as Gantt charts and S-curve graphs.
